About the position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) role at Adecco Healthcare involves providing care to patients in a Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. The PCT works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and is responsible for ensuring unit safety by identifying and escalating safety concerns. This is a permanent position with flexible shift options, primarily during nights and weekends, and includes a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in a Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Facility.
- Ensure unit safety by identifying environmental and patient-specific safety concerns.
- Escalate safety concerns to the RN, RN Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or designated individual when necessary.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the direction of the RN.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience working with substance abuse/mentally ill patients with a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health or similar.
- 2 years of experience working with substance abuse/mentally ill patients with an Associate's Degree in Behavioral Health or similar.
- 2 years of experience working with substance abuse/mentally ill patients as an LPN.
- 4 years of experience in a relevant role such as PCT, BHT, CNA, MA, or HHA without a Behavioral Health Degree.
- BLS Certification (can be obtained during onboarding).
- Clean background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Title 36 (Court-Ordered Mental Health Proceedings) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) holds.
- Experience with restraints.
- Nursing experience (i.e. LPN).
