About the position
Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence. General Nursing Units care for patients from age 18 years to maturity. Unit specific variation may apply. Special Care Areas care for patients 18 years through adult with high-risk conditions. Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery care includes patients who have a pregnancy related condition. Nursery care includes care for the newborn until discharge. Endoscopy Unit cares for patients 18 years and older. Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages. Behavioral Health/Gero-Psych Unit provides care for patients 17 years and older requiring psychiatric care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients.
- Cares for patients from age 18 years to maturity in General Nursing Units.
- Cares for patients with high-risk conditions in Special Care Areas.
- Provides Labor and Delivery care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions.
- Cares for newborns in the Nursery until discharge.
- Cares for patients 18 years and older in the Endoscopy Unit.
- Provides care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department.
- Cares for patients 17 years and older requiring psychiatric care in the Behavioral Health/Gero-Psych Unit.
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
