About the position
The Patient Care Coordinator/PT Tech role at Innovative Physical Therapy is a part-time position focused on supporting patients in their rehabilitation and fitness journeys. This position is integral to the clinic's operations, involving scheduling, insurance verification, and assisting with patient treatments in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. The clinic emphasizes a family-like atmosphere and personal growth opportunities for its staff.
Responsibilities
- New Patient Scheduling - Setting up new patients in our EMR and scheduling them appropriately.
- Insurance verification - Making sure patient's insurance is active and obtaining treatment authorizations if required.
- Managing schedules - Coordinating the schedules for the physical therapists and PTA's on site.
- Assisting with Patient Treatment - Coaching patients through exercises.
- Other tasks - answering the phone, filing patient charts, collecting copays and patient payments.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone that enters the clinic.
- Ability to work closely with all clinic staff to improve care and keep patients engaged and progressing in their therapy.
- Ability to stand, stoop, and move throughout the clinic for your entire assigned shift.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience with WebPT or Kareo is a plus but is not required.
