Patient Care Associate II, Admission Unit Full Time Night

About the position

To assist the professional staff by participating in direct and indirect patient care to include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and materials management and maintenance as directed by the professional staff and in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in direct and indirect patient care.
• Perform EKGs.
• Conduct phlebotomy.
• Manage and maintain materials as directed by professional staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet one of the following requirements: (1) Recent experience in a comparable role in a hospital setting, (2) Valid current and active certification from a credentialing organization approved by Valley Health System, (3) Current and enrolled nursing student who has completed and passed 'Fundamentals of Nursing' course, or (4) Successfully complete 8-week PCA Fundamentals Program.
