Patient Accounting Coordinator 3
About The Position
The Veterinary Medical Center at The Ohio State University is searching for a Patient Accounting Coordinator to provide billing, collection, patient census, and auditing functions within the Veterinary Health System across multiple locations. Responsibilities include providing customer service (internal and external) related to all aspects of billing; preparing deposits and change orders; account maintenance in the hospital information system; timely bill audits to ensure capturing of all fees related to medical procedures; various reconciliations; working with patient care and customer service departments to ensure complete billing, account statement review, corrections, and mailing; and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with work hours Monday-Fridays on 1st shift, 8AM-5PM. The position is subject to a background check.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of relevant experience required
Nice To Haves
- Certification or vocational training may be required
- Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred
- 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred
