About the position

The Patient Account Associate I position at Intermountain Health involves providing exceptional customer service through effective communication and professional account handling. Responsibilities

• Review insurance aging reports.
• Resubmit and work on corrected claims and appeals.
• Manage aging claims and accounts receivable.
• Conduct comprehensive follow-up to maximize reimbursement.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a professional office setting.
• At least one (1) year of full cycle medical billing experience (highly preferred).
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers (highly preferred).
• Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB's) or interpret denials (highly preferred).
• Basic understanding of accounting procedures such as debits/credits (highly preferred).
• Experience with insurance claim appeals (highly preferred).
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (highly preferred).
• Familiarity with electronic remittances (highly preferred).
