This full-time Patient Access Representative position in Women's Health ensures the collection of accurate and complete registration/admission information and completion of required forms for all patients. The role involves collecting patient deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance, and deposits, as well as gathering and evaluating confidential patient financial data to determine qualification for financial assistance and patient financial responsibility. The representative will collect payments, facilitate the resolution of billing questions, and act as an information resource to other departments and physician offices. A key aspect of the role includes understanding the relationship between diagnosis and procedure using CPT and ICD-9 coding to ensure compliance with third-party regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid. The position also requires adherence to all pertinent legislation regarding the use/disclosure of medical and financial information, debt collection, and credit reporting. Establishing payment arrangements and evaluating past account history are also responsibilities. The role utilizes multiple system applications for analysis, report creation, and educational material development, incorporating knowledge of Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes to prioritize quality, confidentiality, and safety. The representative will research and compile information for operational projects, synthesize and analyze data, and provide detailed summaries with graphical presentations to recommend solutions and support leadership decision-making. A working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, the Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and other policies is essential.
