The associate is expected to provide excellent patient service, creating a positive first impression for patients and their families, whether in person or over the phone. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each registered patient has a complete and accurate medical record.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance coverage.
• Provide clear information to patients regarding their services and financial responsibilities.
• Deliver excellent patient service to create a positive first impression.
• Utilize deductive reasoning and logic skills to resolve issues in complex, multi-payer situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in an office clerical setting or customer service environment.
• Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and website navigation.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict management, and time management skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Completion of all role-specific revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months.

Nice-to-haves

• Three years of experience in an office clerical setting or customer service environment.
• Direct experience in a revenue cycle or medical setting.
• Advanced knowledge of CPT4, ICD9/10, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
