About the position

The Patient Service Associate/Operator at St. Thomas Community Health Center is responsible for providing personalized and service-oriented assistance to patients and customers under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and Team Leader. This role involves implementing all aspects of the clerical side of health care delivery, maintaining a positive work relationship with all staff members for the benefit of patients and the institution. The employee is expected to demonstrate the ability to provide care and service to individuals of all age groups, while consistently adhering to the Service Principles of St. Thomas Community Health Center in their daily duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years Administrative Experience Preferred
  • College Graduate Preferred
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters related to co-workers and patients
  • Adhere to Professionalism with dress code/manners
  • CPR Healthcare Provider certification
  • Personable for meeting/greeting patients/customers
  • Computer literacy (Mainframe or PC)
  • Phone etiquette - handle heavy volume multi-line
  • Spelling/grammar aptitude
  • Good written/verbal communication skills
  • Set priorities/follow directions
  • Adjust to various demands
