About the position

The Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to both retail and installer customers. This role involves assisting customers in selecting merchandise, supporting store management, and performing various operational tasks. The position emphasizes a high level of service and requires effective communication skills, particularly for bilingual candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to retail and installer customers.
• Greet customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Support managers and installer service specialists as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
• Answer customer calls according to company policy and provide accurate part information.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions accurately.
• Handle exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies.
• Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily operational tasks including inventory management and stocking shelves.
• Operate store test equipment after training is completed.
• Perform in-store services for customers where permitted by law.
• Drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging systems.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
