About the position

The Partner Business Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is responsible for serving as a trusted advisor to partners, such as Value Added Resellers and Managed Service Providers, by aligning their business strategies with HPE's priorities. This role focuses on driving revenue and profitability through joint business planning and sales efforts, while also fostering strong relationships with partners to enhance HPE's market share and competitive positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and expert to partners on emerging trends in their ecosystem aligned with HPE business priorities.
  • Create mutually beneficial plans for the future with partners.
  • Drive end-to-end HPE revenue, profitability, and pipeline by creating joint business plans and leading data-driven sales efforts with partners.
  • Articulate HPE global and local business strategies to effectively sell with, to, and through partners.
  • Tailor solutions to influence the broader partner ecosystem.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of partner priorities, industry trends, and HPE technology to communicate value effectively.
  • Demonstrate business and sales leadership by building executive-level relationships with partners to grow HPE market share.
  • Coordinate and execute HPE activities with partners, leveraging specialists when needed.
  • Drive HPE marketing strategy through the customer and account mapping processes with partners and HPE sales teams.
  • Promote increased value to HPE for pipeline and revenue/profit growth while leveraging the partner ecosystem.
  • Lead and implement HPE strategy, programs, and systems with partners to assure accelerated financial outcomes and build partner loyalty.
  • Influence partners to drive increased resources to HPE portfolio.
  • Tailor selling solutions to fit the needs of the partner's customer profile including HPE products and services.
  • Recruit and develop business relationships with new partners to increase commitment to HPE.
  • Monitor partner sales floor to help develop pipeline and ensure compliance with HPE's SBC requirements.

Requirements

  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of selling experience at end-user account or partner level.
  • Experience selling to partners in a complex environment.
  • Thorough awareness of current technology trends and related HPE strategy.
  • Ability to influence partners to create increased value to HPE.
  • Strong account management skills to develop strategic plans with partners.
  • Thorough understanding of HPE products and how they deliver value to customers.
  • Ability to build understanding and relationships with partners and internal communities.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve agreement within business contexts.
  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting concepts to assess customer financial health.
