About the position

The Part-time Theatre Technician role involves supporting various aspects of theatre production, including sound, lighting, and stage management. The technician will work at the Performing Arts Center, providing technical services for both school and rental events. This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate events that may occur during the day, night, or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical services in lighting, sound, and stage work for school and rental events.
• Works in support of events at the Performing Arts Center.
• Enforces safety regulations and procedures governing the operation of equipment.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills while interacting with staff and clients.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.

Requirements

• Expertise in at least one area of theatre production (lighting, sound, or stage).
• Willingness to learn all areas of theatre production for entry-level technicians.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to theatre equipment.
