About the position
The Server at Ole Red in Nashville International Airport is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. This role involves working as part of a team to ensure a positive dining experience for all patrons, including greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any concerns or complaints with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests at the table and respond to inquiries regarding the menu, wine list, and entertainment.
- Suggestively sell menu items, beverages, and desserts, and inform guests of daily specials.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs and concerns, correcting errors or resolving complaints.
- Organize and prioritize service according to appropriate service sequence.
- Take menu, beverage, and bar orders from guests and communicate them to the kitchen and/or bar through the POS terminal.
- Check food orders prior to serving to ensure correctness and proper presentation.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables and pre-bus as necessary.
- Memorize menus and daily specials to share with guests.
- Perform opening, running, and closing duties according to policy.
- Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through the work area while upholding safety and sanitation standards.
- Receive payment and process transactions according to Ole Red procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in restaurant operations.
- POS check and cash handling experience.
- Working knowledge of high volume restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service.
- Standard food preparation and presentation knowledge.
- Skill in guest relations.
- Wine and liquor knowledge.
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently with a friendly attitude and anticipate guest needs.
