About the position

The Part Time Math & Science Teacher at Brightmont Academy is responsible for providing personalized, one-on-one instruction to students in grades 1 through 12. The role emphasizes a flexible schedule with no lesson planning or outside work, allowing teachers to focus solely on inspiring and empowering students in their learning journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one instruction to students in Math and Science subjects.
• Tailor lessons to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student.
• Guide students to mastery using a gradual release approach.
• Support students with patience and empathy throughout their learning process.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology, or a related subject area.
• Patience and empathy in understanding diverse learning styles.
• A genuine passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with students.
• Proficiency in using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check.
