About the position

The position involves cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Responsibilities include cleaning broilers, deep fryers, grills, ovens, range hoods, ware washing machines, and floors. The role requires adherence to health and safety standards, including proper handwashing and the use of cleaning chemicals. The employee will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining dishwashers, managing waste disposal, and providing internal customer service to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans according to standards the following items and areas: Broilers, deep fryers, grills, ovens, range hoods, ware washing machines, and floors and walk-ins.
  • Carefully rinses all dishware, tableware, and service ware for restaurants before sending them through the dish machine.
  • Knows and practices Health and Safety standards as set forth by governmental agencies.
  • Washes hands at each possible point of contamination.
  • Cleans, deck brushes, and mop all kitchen floors.
  • Follows 3-compartment sink procedures.
  • Weekly de-liming of each dish machine.
  • Uses all chemicals according to use, and knows where sheets are located.
  • Reports any malfunctions of the dishwashing machine, including temperatures too low or too high, or any other type of equipment used.
  • Sets up, breaks down, and maintains all dishwashers.
  • Empties all trashes and cardboard boxes to the dumpsters.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and communication skills for safety.
  • Gives good internal customer service to the team members.
  • Cleans and maintains all cooks lines.
  • Performs any other duties as prescribed by supervisors to maintain the kitchen.
