About the position
The Part Time Dockworker at DHL is responsible for the efficient and timely processing and handling of customer shipments. This role involves working under tight deadlines to ensure compliance with safety and company policies while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Sort, pack, load, and unload containers under tight deadlines.
- Palletize and separate freight/documents for shipment.
- Prepare all delivery material for shipment.
- Operate a scanner to record shipping and package information.
- Drive a forklift as needed.
- Report any suspected security breaches or unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
- Maintain good work habits, including punctuality and adherence to safety procedures.
- Assist the supervisor in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
- Must be at least 18 years old.
