Fitchburg State University is seeking a part-time, adjunct professor to teach Anatomy and Physiology for non-majors. This course is designed for students pursuing degrees in Nursing, Exercise and Sports Sciences, and Environmental and Public Health. The position involves teaching two courses: Anatomy and Physiology I (BIOL 1200) and Anatomy and Physiology II (BIOL 1300). BIOL 1200 covers the structure and function of the human organism at various levels, including cellular, tissue, organ, and system levels, with a focus on the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. The lab component includes basic lab safety, histology, and dissections. BIOL 1300 continues from BIOL 1200, covering additional systems such as endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, excretory, and reproductive, with practical lab experiences including wet labs and dissections. Both courses require setting up and taking down lab exams and grading lab activities in collaboration with other faculty.
