About the position
The Coding Instructor position at KidNCode is a part-time role focused on teaching foundational coding concepts to children aged 6-18. The instructor will create a fun and engaging learning environment, introducing students to various programming languages and concepts such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotics. The role aims to inspire creativity and innovation in young learners while fostering essential problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach foundational coding concepts to children ages 6-18.
- Introduce kids to various programming languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
- Foster problem-solving, analytical, logical thinking, and computational creativity skills.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs and interests of diverse learners.
- Inspire and motivate students to explore technology and coding.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or working with children (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to young learners.
- Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and Java (1 year required for each).
- Ability to commute to Euless, TX.
Nice-to-haves
