About the position

As an ALDI Cashier or Stocker, you will enhance the customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment. This part-time position involves operating registers, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and providing exceptional customer service. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to contribute to the store's success.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader.
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within the area of responsibility.
• Process customer purchases and perform general cleaning duties.
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping experience.
• Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues.
• Participate in taking store inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Stock shelves and rotate products properly to guarantee fresh product availability.
• Follow merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays.
• Organize new inventory and remove/break down empty boxes.
• Operate machinery and follow all safety procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Effective time management skills.
• Knowledge of products and services of the company.
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately (for Cashier role).
• Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages (for Cashier role).
• Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler (for Stocker role).

Nice-to-haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
