About the position
The Part-time Cafeteria Attendant position at Otis Elementary School is a temporary role designed to cover for the current Cafeteria Attendant on leave. The role involves food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria, ensuring a safe and pleasant dining experience for students. The position is part-time, requiring 7 hours of work per day, and is expected to conclude when the regular attendant returns.
Responsibilities
- Safe preparation and handling of food
- Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities
- Serving of food
- Assisting with record keeping
- Performing duties related to food preparation and serving
- Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Assisting with stocking supplies and inventory management
- Attending required training meetings
- Reporting to work as scheduled and notifying management of absences
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be Food Safety certified (ServSafe) and/or have Food Handlers certification
- Current authorization to work in the United States
