About the position
Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking skilled Spanish Bilingual Interpreters to work remotely from home, specifically for high volume inbound calls. This long-term contract position offers a pay rate of $15 per hour and requires candidates to reside in the United States. The role involves interpreting Spanish/English conversations across various industries, including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Travel & Hospitality, and more. A typical day will include handling telephone calls on demand in a quiet home office environment, translating conversations that may range from simple to complex or technical. Candidates must be fluent in both Spanish and English and be comfortable with video interpreting, as this will be a mandatory aspect of the job. The position requires a minimum commitment of 5.5 hours on Mondays, and candidates will undergo three weeks of paid training to prepare for their responsibilities. The role is designed for individuals who are eager to help others in their community connect meaningfully through language interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Handle telephone calls on demand in a quiet home office.
- Translate Spanish/English conversations for various industries including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Travel & Hospitality.
- Interpret conversations that may be simple, complex, or technical.
- Participate in video interpreting as a mandatory requirement.
Requirements
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
- Able to work a minimum of 5.5 hours on Mondays.
- Manual dexterity to type or write notes.
- Previous experience not required, but education or work experience in teaching or translation is considered an asset.
- Comfortable being on camera for video calls.
