About the position

The part-time personal support employee will provide assistance to adults with disabilities in Cockeysville, MD. The role involves engaging clients in social activities, meal planning, and household management, while ensuring respectful treatment and communication. The position requires working on Saturdays and Sundays, with potential for additional shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the individual in engaging in regular social activities.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Help with shopping and household management.
• Communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.
• Access and implement web-based calendars for appointments and classes.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• Driver's License in good standing with the state of Maryland
• First Aid Certification
• Communication skills
• Experience working with people with disabilities
• AED Certification
• Vehicle in safe working condition for transportation
• Pass a criminal background check, driver's background check, and drug test
• Full vaccination for COVID and other pertinent vaccines.
