The Park Chef I is a skilled team member, providing expertise in the restaurant, kitchen, and catering operations, allowing you a great platform to express your customer service aptitude and culinary skills creatively at Hidden Waters restaurant. Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Three years of food preparation experience in salads, vegetables, or meats.
  • One year of the required experience must include management or supervision of a medium-to large-scale institutional or commercial full-service restaurant or state resort park food facility.
  • One year of culinary training will substitute for one year of the food preparation experience.
  • Always be courteous and professional, while displaying a professional image through appearance and dress.
  • Work well as a team leader and a team player.
  • Be friendly when encountering our guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of the park and all park facilities.
  • Be able to answer guest questions about the park and surrounding areas.
  • Be available to work weekends, mornings, and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Park Chef II in overseeing all kitchen functions.
  • Assist in training and supervising kitchen personnel.
  • Helps to maintain food inventories.
  • Helps to plan and coordinate food services for special venues and events.
  • Batch cook food.
  • Line cook for immediate service.
  • Ensure proper food safety policies are adhered to.
  • Provide excellent guest services.
  • Assist with the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.
  • Will be required to use hand tools and lift items more than 20 pounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.
