About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in implementing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and providing individualized support to students, particularly in literacy education.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities that align with the curriculum.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment conducive to learning.
• Provide individualized attention to students, especially those requiring additional support in math and literacy education.
• Help with lesson planning and curriculum development to enhance the educational experience.
• Facilitate small group instruction and assist with classroom activities, including toddler care when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance as needed to promote a respectful classroom atmosphere.

Requirements

• Experience or education in early childhood education, preschool settings, or related fields is preferred.
• Strong skills in math and literacy education are essential for supporting student learning effectively.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies for engaging students of varying abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus.
• A passion for educating young learners and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
