About The Position

Provide instructional assistance to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students improve communication skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current Paraprofessional license in the state where services are delivered
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Criminal Background & Fingerprinting.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Work with small groups of students in an instructional capacity.
  • Assist and provide support for students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate classroom environment to ensure a safe and positive learning experience.
  • Monitor individual students in the classroom, library, or during playground activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
  • Monitor and assists students during various classroom activities (examples; art, literacy, bath rooming, fine motor skills)
  • Maintain confidentiality in all correspondence and communications
  • Support special needs learners and modifies instruction as directed
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate student conduct
  • Maintain discipline in the absence of the teacher
  • Perform other related duties as assigned/required by teacher(s), site, or district administrator(s).
  • Assist with clerical duties such as record keeping, typing, and duplicating
  • Assist other personnel as required to support them in the completion of their work activities.
  • Operate a variety of instructional media, office machines and equipment.
  • Perform record keeping, and clerical functions (scheduling, copying, etc.) to maintain records, provide materials, and prepare reports.
  • Establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with parents, students, and teachers in the course of work
  • Perform other related duties as assigned/required by teachers, site, or district administrators
