About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is seeking dedicated para educators to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year in Waynesville, MO. Whether you’re an experienced paraprofessional or just beginning we’d love to hear from you!
Requirements
- Must currently have a secondary school (high school) diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have a minimum of 60 college hours or Missouri ParaPro Certificate
Responsibilities
- Support students with personal care and/or medical needs (e.g., hygiene, lifting, toileting, feeding, etc.).
- Assist with student transitions, transportation, supervision (lunch, recess, bus, assemblies), and classroom coverage when the teacher is absent.
- Provide support for students with significant behavioral or emotional needs, including implementing behavior management strategies.
- Assist with instruction (small/large groups, vocational programs), IEP preparation, assessments, and monitoring due process timelines under teacher direction.
- Prepare and organize instructional materials, maintain student records/files, and use technology for data entry, reports, and assistive devices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support students, teachers, and educational planning.
