Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and help individual students or small groups as needed.
• Supervise students during lunch, hallway, and bathroom times.
• Learn and assist with student communication devices.
• Support teachers in organizing learning experiences for students.
• Assist in assessing student needs and progress under teacher direction.
• Attend scheduled meetings and professional growth offerings.
• Adhere to district expectations regarding attendance and punctuality.
• Promote positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
• Help maintain an attractive and inviting classroom environment.
• Perform tasks as directed by the Teacher, Building Principal, or Student Services Director.

Requirements

• Evidence of High School diploma/equivalent or Associates Degree.
• Complete 30 semester hours of college credit at an accredited institution or pass the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment with a minimum score of 460.
• Strong interpersonal skills and respect for confidentiality.
• Ability to use tact and diplomacy in human relations.
