About the position

As a Paramedic, you will assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. You will utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care. Communication with patients and their loved ones is essential to provide information and assurance that care is being given. You will act as the Paramedic team leader, taking responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed, and drive the ambulance on 911 responses. Collaboration and professionalism with all allied health and public safety personnel, as well as your fellow Paramedics, are crucial. Additionally, you will participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver's License
• Ambulance Driver's License
• Medical Examiners Card
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare
