We are seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal to join the Business Litigation team in the Silicon Valley office to provide firmwide advanced litigation support on complex, high‑stakes intellectual property matters. This role is designed for a highly experienced paralegal who can independently manage large, sophisticated Intellectual Property matters, serve as a strategic resource to attorneys, and provide leadership and guidance within the paralegal team. The Intellectual Property Paralegal supports matters from inception through trial, arbitration, and appeal and plays a key role in managing large‑scale discovery and trial preparation. This position will report directly to the Director of Administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of substantial p aralegal experience supporting I ntellectual P roperty matters
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, high‑volume cases and large discovery efforts with minimal supervision
  • Advanced proficiency with litigation support and e‑discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity or comparable tools)
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor others and serve as a go‑to resource for attorneys and paralegals
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact directly with attorneys, clients, and senior firm leadership
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team‑based environment
  • The ability to work overtime, including on some weekends and holidays with little to no advance notice.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a paralegal on complex intellectual property matters, managing cases from discovery through trial, arbitration, and post‑trial proceedings in state and f ederal courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • Independently manage large‑scale document productions, e‑discovery workflows, and litigation databases /applications , including quality control and issue spotting
  • Oversee and conduct advanced document reviews for responsiveness, privilege, confidentiality, and redactions, and assist attorneys with case strategy by identifying key issues in context
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of deposition and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, and courtroom logistics
  • Act as a primary liaison among attorneys, clients, litigation support teams, vendors, and other business professionals
  • Assist with matter planning, workflow organization, and deadline management on fast-moving, high-profile cases
  • Support hearings, trials, and arbitrations, including on‑site trial support as needed
  • Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality, firm policies, and best practices across all assigned matters
  • Provide high-level litigation and practice support across offices and practice groups as business needs require
  • Strong multitasking skills working on multiple matters at the same time with several different lawyers and other staff.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel, including attorneys and other paralegals and assistants, sharing information, goals, and opportunities accordingly.
  • Interact with clients as necessary to gather necessary documentation and information for agency or court filings.
  • General support of attorneys and other business professionals across all offices and practice groups as business needs arise.

  • Pay Transparency Range: $150,000 - $175,000
  • The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
