About the position
The Paraeducator position at North Ottawa County schools involves providing assistance in implementing plans and programs related to academic or functional skill attainment for students with disabilities. Positions are available for both full-time and part-time employment, and the workdays align with the school calendar, approximately 170 days per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to classroom teachers

Requirements
- Must enjoy working with special needs students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passing score on the state paraeducator assessment, or a minimum of 48 college hours, or a post-secondary degree
- Employment subject to drug screening, physical exam, criminal background check, and TB screening
