About The Position

The Palliative Care Program Manager at Temple University Hospital reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer, and collaborates with the Palliative Care Medical Director. This role involves a combination of direct patient and family care/support, along with administrative management. Responsibilities include budget development and monitoring, staff scheduling, supervision of social workers and chaplains, purchasing office equipment and supplies, metric tracking, and collaborating with medical leadership on policy and procedure development and program execution. The manager will also participate in assigned hospital committees, work with executive leadership and medical staff on palliative care issues, and assist with regulatory surveys as needed.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work Required
• Master's Degree of Divinity or religious study equivalency from recognized seminary Required
• 5 years experience or more working in the field Required
• 3 years experience in Palliative and Hospice Care Required

Nice To Haves

• Non Degree Program Minimum 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education from ACPE Preferred
• 2 years experience in a supervisory role Preferred
• Adv Cert Hospice Palliative SW Preferred
• PA Clinical Social Worker Lic Preferred
• Board Cert Chaplain Preferred
