About the position
Join Rise Painting in Pflugerville, Texas, as a Prep Technician for our cabinet finishing department. This position is a mixture of site finishing and shop finishing. You'll be responsible for masking, sanding, cleaning, organizing, and maintaining equipment to support our high-quality craftsmanship. Experience in cabinet prep work is required. As a Prep Technician, your primary duties will include preparing cabinet surfaces for finishing by sanding and cleaning, maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, and ensuring that the spray booth and spray equipment are clean and organized. You will also manage the inventory of materials and supplies specific to finishing processes, stock shelves with necessary supplies, and assist with general shop maintenance and tasks as needed. Collaboration with team members is essential to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. You should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also important, as is a willingness to grow with the company and take on additional responsibilities.
