About the position

The Packaging Operator I is responsible for the packaging of various flavors, including powders, liquids, and extracts, ensuring adherence to food safety, quality, and efficiency standards. This role involves close collaboration with Batch Compounders to accurately fill production orders and maintain safety protocols while operating packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pack production batches and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Record production and other data accurately on specified forms and documents.
• Follow sanitary guidelines for cleaning and sanitization (CIP).
• Transfer materials and set up equipment, supplies, and packaging materials efficiently.
• Learn and understand food safety concepts and their importance in product quality.
• Promptly observe and communicate food or product quality issues to Shift Leads or Management.
• Consistently perform assigned duties safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
• Complete assigned duties without errors or defects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to use RF scanner to consume required materials and report batch quantities accurately.
• Attention to detail and basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and forklift policy, including wearing required PPE.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate issues effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to learn and follow operational and cleaning procedures consistently.
• Ability to complete required documentation and record-keeping accurately.
