About The Position

While reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role within the finishing department. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following. What You’ll Be Doing: Packaging of product to meet all specified requirements Assure that all nonconforming material is segregated, properly identified, and stacked together Report all unidentified non-conformances Support Gluers as packer/inspector Place stacks of cards into gluer feed table and/or catch glued product and place into cases Interact and communicate with other departments in a positive manner Maintain a clean and safe work area – responsible for completion of sweep sheets at the end of each shift Adherence to all Safety and Operational procedures

Requirements

  • You have mechanical Aptitude
  • You have atleast 6 months packing experience preferred
  • You enjoy handling complex issues and problems
  • You have the ability to lift/move heavy objects
  • You can place cards into Corrugated Boxes (Approx. 1 to 2 pounds) depending on size of card and stack
  • You can push at Chest Height 8 – 45 pounds.
  • You can pull at Waist Height 5 – 10 pounds.
  • Reaching /Stretching 20 Inches holding approx. 5lbs.
  • Cases can range from 8lbs to 45lbs depending on size and quantity of product enclosed.
  • You can stand at least 8 Plus hours per day.
  • You can work Inside conditions, extremes of heat (up to 100 degrees in the summer) humidity, noise from production machinery (below 85 DSP).
