About the position

The Packaging Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and forecasting of packaging maintenance functions within the manufacturing facility. This role includes supervising maintenance employees and ensuring effective communication between maintenance and packaging production, with a focus on achieving reliability and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling of maintenance plans.
• Achieve the planned packaging line overhauls and preventative maintenance schedule.
• Analyze maintenance repair specifications to determine tools, parts, and human resource requirements.
• Order parts according to lead times.
• Monitor parts inventory levels to maintain necessary stock.
• Update SAP systems with preventative maintenance data.
• Facilitate communication between maintenance and packaging production.
• Supervise, motivate, and train maintenance personnel in the assigned area.
• Ensure productivity of personnel in diagnosing and completing maintenance and repairs in a timely manner.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program to minimize plant breakdowns and update inspections and frequencies for optimal reliability.
• Maintain good labor relations, morale, and discipline in the shop, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure personnel adhere to all GMP and safety policies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in scheduling, planning, or similar inventory and PM programs.
• Mechanical knowledge is required; Electrical and PLC knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Intermediate or better skills in Microsoft Office are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to be proactive and self-directed.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• CI & Root Cause Analysis experience preferred.
• Experience operating SAP systems preferred.
• Industrial food processing experience preferred.
