About The Position

Sensient Technologies is seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Packager Operator to join their collaborative and hard-working team. This role is crucial in producing high-quality food ingredients, specifically packaging yeast powder that is used in a variety of food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working various shift lengths including weekends, and possess a strong desire to learn about equipment and food manufacturing. This position offers excellent compensation, averaging over $30/hour, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work both 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends
• Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment/food manufacturing
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly, position 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time, assemble equipment, and work safely in hot environment

Responsibilities

• Package yeast powder which goes into food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
• Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink wrapping machine
• Take samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
• Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
• Perform cleaning for your assigned area that complies with company and government policy
• Fill out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
• Follow food and safety standards/good manufacturing practices
