About The Position
The Edgewater Hotel is looking for an Overnight Security Officer to join the team. This role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees, minimizing opportunities for loss or damage, anticipating potential problems, and responding to disturbances and emergencies. In collaboration with the Night Auditor, the Security Officer will also fulfill guest requests during the overnight shift, working both indoors and outdoors. This position is exclusively scheduled for graveyard hours.
Requirements
- Criminal free record
- Valid WA drivers license
- Excellent driving record
- Fluency in English both verbal and written
- Attention to detail is a must
- Need to have ability to prioritize, organize and follow up, be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment, understand guest needs, work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hotel security and/or guest services experience is highly desired.
- Previous night audit experience is a plus!
Responsibilities

- Anticipates potential problems and reacts to disturbances and prohibited conduct.
- Responds to emergency situations as needed.
- In conjunction with the Night Auditor, Security fulfills all guest requests during the overnight shift.
- Works outdoors and indoors.
