About the position
The Overnight Manager for a Luxury 5 Star Resort is responsible for overseeing the operations of the kitchen and public area cleaning functions at the prestigious hotel property in Sea Island, GA. This role ensures that the needs of clients, their customers, and employees are met while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The manager will supervise staff, manage supplies, and uphold company policies, all while acting as a role model for other employees.
Responsibilities
- Supervises daily activities of the Public Areas and Overnight Kitchen Cleaning Department.
- Daily supervision of the staff.
- Purchase, re-order and maintain kitchen cleaning supplies.
- Schedule and train new stewarding and overnight Kitchen Cleaning team members.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
- Publicly recognizes and rewards employees.
- Follows and teaches all required safety and standard operating procedures.
- Adheres to all company and regulatory policies.
- Reports any wrongdoing to corporate headquarters in Miramar, Florida.
- Works weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and long hours.
- Acts as a role model to other employees.
Requirements
- Must meet company and clients appearance standards.
- Ability to work with a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to perform all duties as required with or without an accommodation.
- Ability to motivate and respect hourly employees.
- Knowledge of e-mail, MS-Word.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish required.
- 1 year prior stewarding, kitchen cleaning or culinary supervisory experience of 30+ employees.
Nice-to-haves
- High volume multiple kitchen experience.
- Floor care (Marble) experience highly preferred.
