About The Position

Sun State is currently seeking an experienced Outside Truck Sales Representative who will be responsible for the sale of new and used Commercial Trucks to customers with an emphasis on developing customer relationships that will lead to greater sales. Candidates must possess strong negotiation skills, successful closure rates, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience in truck (preferably International brand), automotive, leasing, allied bodies, construction, or agriculture.
  • Experience with outside retailing heavy-duty trucks.
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks specifications for sales quotes
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Valid Driver’s License with driving record that adheres to company standard
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks with minimal direction

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients and opportunities to improve sales performance
  • Meet and exceed sales goals for new and used trucks within department guidelines
  • Coordinate activities related to each heavy-duty trucks sale; including cost management, specifications, quality control, and delivery
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with customers
  • Make outbound calls and personal visits to potential customers in assigned areas
  • Address customer requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Remain informed of vendors’ current products and offers
  • Sales Territory will encompass the Tampa Bay and the surrounding areas
