About the position

The Outside Sales Representative at Soar Agency Group is a full-time role focused on leveraging sales skills to provide supplemental insurance products to small and medium-sized businesses. The position emphasizes building relationships with clients, meeting their needs, and contributing to the company's growth through a commission-based compensation structure. The role offers extensive training and opportunities for career advancement in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet face-to-face with small and medium-sized business owners and decision-makers in your assigned sales territory.
  • Offer top-tier supplemental insurance products and services to businesses and their employees.
  • Respond to general emails and phone calls from clients.
  • Set follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients to review their needs.
  • Participate in scheduled calls or meetings with your sales team or manager.
  • Call on new businesses, referrals, and existing clients who need to be re-serviced.
  • Build and maintain your own book of business.
  • Set your own scheduled working hours and submit them to your sales manager each week.
  • Submit your sales metrics and activity daily.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Life & Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain one with reimbursement offered).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience, or candidates within 6 months of degree completion will be considered.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle objections and resilience in the face of rejection.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and performance excellence.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A positive attitude and high-energy demeanor.
