About the position

The Outside Sales Consultant at Resource Label Group is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the company's market position and driving financial growth. This position involves traveling to clients in the Mountain region, building key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining a deep understanding of market conditions. The consultant will engage in new business development, customer retention, and account planning, collaborating with various internal and external teams to deliver creative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business through strategic prospecting.
  • Develop tactical plans to maintain and expand services with existing and assigned accounts.
  • Proactively identify new customers and new project opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and organization throughout the sales and production process.
  • Establish high-level relationships and gain a clear understanding of customers' business and requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting to management on customer and industry trends, challenges, etc.
  • Update and maintain sales activity, as well as customer and prospect information within Salesforce CRM.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to answer questions and provide information regarding new products, capabilities, and services.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Forecast and meet monthly and annual sales targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience within printing, packaging or folding carton required; label experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must display a thorough knowledge of printing.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to resolve problems.
  • Must have positive demeanor and work well with customers and company employees.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time as required.
  • Some travel required within a local market (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
