About the position
The Outside Sales Account Representative at Amazon Hose & Rubber Company is responsible for driving sales of industrial hoses, fittings, and gaskets within a designated territory. This role involves full-cycle prospecting, managing customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets. The representative will work closely with leadership to develop sales strategies and utilize CRM tools to manage their territory effectively.
Responsibilities
- Create a sales plan to develop a prospect list for new business.
- Conduct full cycle prospecting activities including lead qualification, cold calls, and sales presentations.
- Manage a sales territory of customers and prospects, ensuring their hose and fitting needs are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by assessing customer needs, processing orders, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Utilize tools, resources, and CRM to plan and manage time and territory effectively.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- BA/BS in business or technical field is preferred.
- 3+ years of business development/sales experience, ideally in the industrial hose and fitting industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the hose and fitting industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of relevant hose applications, industries, and technologies.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and ability to establish credibility quickly.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Valid Driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in assembly or repair of industrial hoses and fittings.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales management tools.
