About the position

The Outside Parts Sales Representative at Ohio Transport is responsible for providing knowledge and support to current and new customers regarding the repair and replacement of parts for heavy-duty trucks. This role involves frequent local travel to customer sites, building relationships, and actively seeking new accounts while developing extensive industry and product knowledge through training.

Responsibilities

• Frequent local travel to customer sites to build meaningful relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Actively seek and develop new accounts and represent the company to potential customers.
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services provided.
• Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations utilizing a value selling approach.
• Implement a sales plan to support and achieve sales and profitability goals set by management.
• Submit call reports, plans, etc. in a timely manner.
• Utilize support personnel for order fills and deliveries.
• Keep abreast of current programs and pricing offered.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Requirements

• Successful sales and/or business to business experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with heavy-duty truck parts sales.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field.
