About the position

The Outreach Specialist & Transfer Undergraduate Admission Counselor at Concordia University Wisconsin plays a crucial role in attracting new transfer undergraduate students to the CUAA campus. This full-time position involves developing strategic partnerships with community colleges and other organizations, ensuring a seamless admission process, and collaborating with various university departments. The successful candidate will be passionate about student success and have a strong understanding of the higher education landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for all undergraduate transfer student inquiries on the CUAA campus.
  • Assist students from initial inquiry to successful enrollment in their first term at CUAA.
  • Represent the university at recruitment events, open houses, conferences, and webinars.
  • Utilize digital and social media platforms for outreach efforts.
  • Assist in creating, editing, and purchasing promotional materials and website content.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and regulations in all admission activities.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and financial aid to create an integrated admissions experience.
  • Develop and deepen relationships with external strategic business partners and community colleges.
  • Serve as campus liaison for articulation agreements with community colleges.
  • Assist in establishing meaningful partnerships with healthcare organizations in Michigan.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree or pursuit of is preferred.
  • At least three years of professional work experience in academic admissions, marketing, communications, and/or sales is required.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, especially in public speaking.
  • Experience with admission CRM software including SLATE and Banner.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with a broad range of stakeholders and interact positively with a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of current university admission processes and requirements, university programs, majors, and financial aid.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in social media management.
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of common office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings; overnight travel may be required.
