About The Position

Willdan Lighting and Electric (WLE), a subsidiary of Willdan, is looking for an Outreach Coordinator in our New York, NY office, to support Multifamily Utility Incentive programs that promote the installation of energy efficiency measures. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative environment with our engineering staff, program managers, and sales teams to communicate with and educate multifamily building owners, board members, and contractors on the benefits of Utility Incentive Programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental studies, sustainability, marketing, or business.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably with outreach and communications.
  • A proactive, independent, self-starter attitude, who is also collaborative.
  • Brings creative ideas to the table from lessons learned.
  • Elevated level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with our clients and internal staff.
  • Sound reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with our clients and work collaboratively with our engineering staff, program managers and sales team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple projects.
  • Ability to travel to the Manhattan office.
  • Some on-site travel may be required (30% to 40% on average).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in energy efficiency, facility design/build, and/or performance contracting is helpful, but not required.
  • CRM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the energy efficiency program by engaging in outreach activities including prospective customer/contractor outbound outreach including in-person visits, cold calling and emailing, lunch and learns, inbound prospective customer support, trade show presentations, tabling at conferences or community resource fairs, webinars, and other community collaboration efforts. This may include up to 30% to 40% door-to-door outreach and building surveying on average.
  • Assist in development and execution of outreach plans under guidance of the Outreach and Marketing Manager and in collaboration with program management team to target key market segments to achieve the program’s energy efficiency project sales and incentives targets.
  • Provide tracking and reporting of relevant outreach KPIs leads to project conversion analysis on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
  • Assist building owners by providing clear and informative guidance on energy efficiency measures.
  • Assist with customer segmentation, targeting and development, and maintenance of contact lists and communication efforts.
