About the position
The Outreach Athletic Trainer will work under the supervision of a physician to provide comprehensive athletic training services, including injury prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, and rehabilitation. This full-time position requires working nights and weekends, with responsibilities in both clinic and outreach settings, ensuring high-quality care for patients and student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accessibility and cost-effectiveness of athletic training services in compliance with policies.
- Perform physical examinations and develop treatment goals based on evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Sports Medicine team to create and implement care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and monitor treatment responses.
- Provide athletic training coverage for events such as summer physicals and tournaments.
- Administer neurocognitive concussion examinations and maintain employee timecard records.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and develop home exercise programs for patients.
- Provide immediate care for sports-related injuries and recommend rehabilitation plans.
- Coordinate educational presentations and screenings for the school community.
Requirements
- Graduate of CAATE approved Athletic Training Program.
- Master's Degree required unless graduated prior to 2022.
- BOC Certified and maintains valid PA State Athletic Training license.
- CPR Healthcare/BLS certification and CEU compliance with BOC requirements.
- Valid Driver's License and excellent communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
