Outpatient Support and Data Specialist- Children's Outpatient
About The Position
New Horizons is seeking an Outpatient Support and Data Specialist to ensure clients are seen in a timely manner, gather documentation, and manage the coordination of client appointments for a smooth customer experience. This role involves collecting, reviewing, and confirming the accuracy of client demographic and insurance information, as well as handling client calls and follow-ups. New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast, serving 15,000 children and adults annually through various services including outpatient programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Two years of clerical experience or scheduling activities
- Must have reliable transportation and able to work hours as assigned.
- Must pass Level 2 Background through DCF and AHCA Clearinghouse.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare office is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Client insurance setup in the electronic medical records system.
- Respond to calls from customers using telephone communications and create initial appointment scheduling.
- Responsible for the coordination of initial client contacts and the related intake processes.
- Establishes client fees in accordance with agency guidelines and communicates this information clearly to clients and/or families.
- Ensures that scheduling preferences (face-to-face or Zoom) meet the providers’ specific and client accessibility needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
