About the position
As a Dialysis Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) with Fresenius Medical Care, you will be part of a collaborative team responsible for delivering personalized care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. This role emphasizes building strong relationships with patients and their families while participating in a Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) to enhance your clinical leadership skills and career satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of hemodialysis patients.
- Perform ongoing analysis of patient data with each patient visit and document in the patient medical record.
- Adjust or modify the treatment plan as indicated and notify supervisor as needed.
- Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and families.
- Administer medications as prescribed and document appropriate medical justification and effectiveness.
- Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
- Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team on the patient care plan.
- Make referrals to Social Worker and Registered Dietitian as appropriate.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current appropriate state licensure.
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
- Compassionate and caring qualities.
- Collaborative and reliable nature.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred but not required).
- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred but not required).
- Successfully pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
