About the position

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to patients and families.
• Accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
• Provide professional nursing care services according to department policies and nursing care standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
