The Outagamie CCS Individual Skill Development Program serves youth struggling in various aspects of their life. As the Youth Support Specialist, you will meet one-on-one with youth using goal-oriented interventions to support their care plan. Interventions may include social skills, emotional regulation, anger management, independent living skills, and/or behavior management. Youth Support Specialists can also support parents to enhance the parent-child relationship. Responsibilities
- Analyze youth histories and capabilities to determine what services are needed to meet the unique needs of youth.
- Implement, evaluate, and review youth goals in collaboration with team members, youth, and their families.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for youth in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
- Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
